2011-2012 Show Season with a little bit of Dressage for fun

January 28th saw Titan take out Champion Led FW at the Melbourne Summer Royal. By winning champion at 3 of the Royal Challenge shows he has also won the AFWHS Royal Show Challenge and a lovely embroidered rug from Equus.

January 26th saw Titan at Lysterfield ARC dressage jackpot where despite being rather unhappy with the showjumping going on around him (and me forgetting the test!!) we managed a 9th and 11th.

January 8th saw Titan compete at Doongala ARC Show where he placed 2nd in the led class. Considering the horrible weather & the large field I was very happy with him.

Titan and Adara headed over to Ballarat for the A&P show held on November 13th.  Titan came home with another Led FW Champion sash and Adara was awarded Reserve Champion led Friesian.  Well worth the drive.

The Geelong Royal Show was held on October 16th. Groveborn Titan was there for his led & ridden class and Adara PJ made her showing debut.  Titan came home with Champion Led FW ad was again pipped at the post for Supreme.  Adara behaved very well and placed second in her purebred mare led class.  Hudson PJ was also presented by his new owners and he placed second in his Led purebred Male class - well done Huddy & Dave!!

Groveborn Titan attended the Peninsula HRCAV Dressage Jackpot on October 9th. It was his first comp since he has come home from lease and inspite of limited ridden work at home he managed to place 6th in his first test scoring 73.53%. His second test wasnt as nice and we placed 12th.

2010-2011 Show Season inc Dressage

~Well the 2010-2011 season got off to a great start with Groveborn Titan taking out Reserve champion led & ridden at the AFWHS State show in August.  He also won the Freestyle Dressage class and the barrel racing!!  Deja 'Vu also went to the show and won Supreme Purebred Friesian - we are very proud of him and his new mum Jane!

~ October saw the Geelong Royal Show and Xenas debut.  Groveborn Titan won his class and Xena won her class.  They then went on to win Champion Led & Reserve Champion Led FW!  Titan then went up for Supreme but was pipped at the post by an imported pure bred mare.  Deja'Vu was also at the Geelong Royal and he was awarded second place in purebred friesian male!!  He is currently 11 months old and was placed above to geldings who have been under saddle for a while!  Well done Dj and Jane!

~ November 7th saw Titan compete at Lysterfields CT & Dressage day. We did pretty well and managed to come home with a 6th place sash!  Huge Happy Dance :-)

 ~ November 20th saw Titan win champion led FW at lilydale A&H show.

~ January saw Xena and Deja'Vu at the Summer Royal. Xena came 2nd in the led fw mare class and Dj 3rd in the led gelding friesian class.  in late Jan Titan was a true champion at a friends wedding by delivering her to the altar in style. He also came home from the Monash Dressage Day with a 2nd place rosette!

~ March saw Titan again awarded Champ led & Champ Ridden FW at the Tatura State show.

2009-2010 Show Season Inc Dressage

This season will see Titan & Jissel out competing in hand and under saddle as well as turing a hoof at some HRCAV dressage events. 

~ March 27th saw Titan at the AHAA state show in Tatura where he impressed everyone by winning Champion Led FW in a field of 6 and Champion Ridden FW in a field of 4.  I am very happy with him for trying so hard and he was very happy with the kilo of carrots he got as a reward!

~ March 8th saw Titan competing at HRCAV dressage.  We had horrible weather & I soon learnt that he does not like being ridden into the rain!  We got a shocking 52% in our first test but managed to raise the bar for an impressive 68% in our second test.

~ January 25th 2010 saw Titan at the Melbourne Summer Royal Horse Show where he won Best Presented of the Breed!  He also won his led class & came 3rd in the ridden.

~ November 22nd saw a very wet Titan at the Catani A&H show!  We came home with Champion Led FW but scratched out of our ridden events due to the grounds being slippery.

~ November 21st saw Jissel at the Lilydale A&H show.  She behaved beautifully and came home with 2nd led mare & 1st ridden mare.  Jissel will now return to breeding duties and has been bred to Remmelt 323 by frozen semen.

~ November 15th saw Jissel at the Dandenong A&P show for friesian horse classes.  She came home with 2 purple sashes and I came home with a very big grin on my face!

~ November 8th saw Titan competing in another hrcav dressage event in lv 4.  He was tense in his first test with a socre of 60.5% but improved in his second test with 63.1%

~ October 30th saw Titan hitting the trails in Worri Yallock!  It was a very hot day but we had a lot of fun & met some new horses & people.

~ October 25th saw Titan competing at a HRCAV dressage comp in lv 4 & lv 3 dressage.  He didnt place but managed to score the same % in both classes. 

~ October 15th saw Titan at the Geelong Royal for breed classes.  He was awarded Champion Led Friesian Warmblood and reserve champion ridden FW!  Go Titan!!

~Otober 11th saw Titan and his mate Hendrik fan Friso competing in a costumed pairs dressage event!  We had a ball and attracted lots of comments in our gothic capes!

~ October 4th saw Jissel and Dublin out competing at the Harness Horse Society of Vic Barastoc show.  Both horses competed in hand and Jissel also had a go at being driven in long reins.  Jissel placed 2nd and was awarded Reserve Champion Open breed mare as well as winning Champion Purebred Friesian!!  She also came second in the long reining class.  Dublin was awarded 3rd place in Led FW gelding :-)

~ August 22nd saw Jissel at the Welsh Society pre royal show at Ayr Hill. It was her first show under saddle and to be honest she behaved very well.  We came home with a red, a white & a green ribbon.

2008-2009 Show Season inc Dressage

This year saw Tako out in hand and Titan competing both in hand and under saddle

*Titan competed at the Berwick ARC Dressage Festival in February & March.  He behaved beautifully and even though he ran out of steam being ridden for 2 tests on each day I am very proud of him.  4B ~ 61% 4C ~ 54%  4D ~ 58%  4E ~ 62%

*The Tatura Baroque horse show was held over 3 days this year. Titan competed in the prep 1.2 test and the prelim test.  He was very well behaved on a very humid day and recieved scores in the low 60% region for both tests.  He Won the led FW class on saturday and was awarded reserve champ.  He also won his ridden FW class on sunday for another reserve champ sash.  He placed 3rd for the exhibition class with his mate Hendrik and came 5th in the novice hack class!

*Berwick A&P show saw Titan come home with the Champion led friesian sash and Tako the reserve Champion sash - go BOYS!!!

*Both Tako & Titan attended the Melbourne Summer Royal.  Both boys won there led classes and Titan cam 3rd out of 5 for his ridden class.  Tako then spent the rest of the day in the Friesian Breed Stand and Titan played war horse for the breed demonstration.

*Look out for Titan & Tako at Traralgon A&P Show on November 29th.~~~~ Tako behaved beautifully and placed 3rd in open breed led stallion as well as winning his purebred friesian class & coming home with Reserve Champion led purebred. Titan WON his open breed led stallion class and came home with CHAMPION !!! I am very proud of my boy. Titan also won Champion led FW and reserve champion ridden. Titan then entered an open hack class with his best mate Hendrik fan Friso - and they won it

*Titan will be showing at Catani Ag Society show on November 23rd~~~~ He came home with Champion Led FW & Ridden FW as well as a second placing in the open breed ridden stallion!

*Titan will be showing at the Lilydale A&H show on November 15th~~~~ He came home with Champion Led FW and Reserve Champion Ridden Male!

*Titan & Tako will be at the Dandenong A&P show on November 9th~~~~ Tako won his led class & came home with Reserve Champion Led Purebred. Titan came home with Reserve Champion Ridden FW

*Titan & Tako will also be seen at the Geelong Royal on October 16th.~~~~ Tako was a true star who behaved beautifully & won his led class. He also came home with Reserve Champion purebred led! Titan won his led & ridden classes coming home with reserve champion led fw. I am very proud of my boys.

*Titan & Tako will be at the Ayr Hill Barastoc Show on sunday October 5th for led open & breed classes.~~~~ Due to owner illness Tako stayed home - but Titan won his class & came home with reserve champion.

2008-2009 Show Season

*Groveborn Titan played 'Friesian' at the Royal Melbourne Show 2008 being the blue war horse! He behaved beautifully and did not miss a beat. We are very proud of our young man.

*The Summer Royal horse show has been postponed to the 13th of March 2008. Our mare Popke has qualified but wont be competing due to her pregnancy - so Tako and Titan will fly the flag for Groveborn!~~~~ Tako won his led class, Titan won his led class and was awarded LED FRIESIAN WARMBLOOD CHAMPION!!!!!

*Red Hill A&P Show will be holding horse events on March 9th so Tako and Titan will head out to do us proud. Both boys will compete in led classes and Titan will compete in his first ridden venture ~~~~ Titan was awarded First in Ridden Stallion over 14hh!!

*Berwick A&P show will now hold Friesian classes on the 23rd of February so Tako will be venturing out into the world to strut his stuff~~~~ First in Led Colt/Stallion!!
